The Cincinnati Bengals will open the preseason Friday night against the New York Giants, and fans attending the game will find more than $20 million in improvements to Paul Brown Stadium. “We are excited to show off our many new elements,” Bengals executive vice-president Katie Blackburn said. “The Club strives not only to have an exciting team on the field but to make sure the in-stadium, game day fan experience is top-notch as well. We believe that fans attending tomorrow, and at our other home games, will come away impressed.” Among the improvements awaiting fans are: New high-definition video boards and sideline LED boards: At 130 feet by 36 feet, the main video boards are more than twice the size of the previous ones. They also are brighter and sharper and will feature a new video production by Cincinnati company Lightborne Communications. The side of the LED boards has been stretched to cover the entire length of the sidelines and will feature fantasy stats and scores of other games. Concession upgrades: The Bengals teamed with Aramark Concessions to make $2.5 million in upgrades to all of the concession stands in the stadium. In addition to improved food preparation and presentation, every concession stand will feature a Hi-Def TV. The team will unveil a new concept — “Burgers and Brews” — that feature feature cooked-to-order service to all levels of the stadium. And a Buffalo Wings and Rings stand will open on the north plaza level next to the Pro Shop. The Bengals also are all jumping on the craft beer craze, transforming the old Pigskin Pub on the west sideline level into the Queen City Tap Room, where local and national craft beers will be served while a Hi-Def projector airs the game. Completion of WiFi system The project that began last season is finished with wireless internet extending to the canopy level, and the Bengals are touting it to be among the finest in the NFL. New Club Lounge Furniture A $1 million improvement for club seat fans and suite holders will feature lounge-style seating with six-person community tables, segmented couches and new lighting. There also will be more Hi-Def TVs throughout the club lounges. To view photos of the upgrades, click here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/286dsbbjwf6m152/AAARi3-hut2CSdFrnUzrmdvDa?dl=0
